A live document of FRASE+BRI playing at the DUX DE LUX in Christchurch. Six tracks of primitive synth-pop. Typed-riffs, diary pages spoken aloud to a thin on the ground audience of friends. Recorded from the sound-desk and and mostly empty-room by Marcus Winstanly.
After having played solo as FRASE for most of 2005/2006, Fraser asked long time friend Bri to help him play the keyboards he couldn’t. FRASE+BRI played and toured A LOT following this period, up and down New Zealand. Fraser continued to pick up commodore c64s cheaply, repairing them and readying them for the road. This unique combination of antiquated-gear anxiety and observational storytelling helped garner F+B a strong national following. Becoming New Zealand’s BEST introverted-party band.
